I am picky about musical films, and was nervous for Wicked. However, the casting, the sets, costumes, and choreography of the actors and dancers as well as the camera was fantastic. They allowed the audience to feel included in the songs vs just watching them, which I would love to see become more incorporated in future musical films. The film paid tribute to the broadway show, but was unsteady to be its own piece of art. It was truly a film, based on the musical, with all of the songs that made the show so successful.
