  A whole lot to unpack here. Cinematically, this film is insightful, stunning, jarring. But I left the theater wondering how various people would feel after watching this. Is America as repulsive and ugly as Corbet/Fastvold imply? Didn’t our protagonists flee Europe because of the darkest atrocities in modern history?
