Memories of Murder 2003
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Watched for a class on Korean History post 1945. Learning about the background events that are happening at this time--beyond that of the murders--completely transforms so many small moments in the film. The United States DNA test scene is so much more meaningful with an understanding of juche. So many scenes are absolutely gripping, and Bong is 2/3 on scaring the shit out of me when I wasn't prepared for a horror film.
