Russ Meyer’s The Holy Mountain
A exciting/charming debut from Annapurna Sriram (director, writer AND star). It wears its trash influences on its sleeve but does it so perfectly, hitting all the right notes, that the affection alchemizes it into something that blew my hair back.
Campy, stylish and vibey, a must see for all movie freaks.
Destined to be a true cult object, and that’s fitting, it’s a love letter to that genre. Cult is cool.
