TRUE DARKNESS: DETECTIVES 2022
Using this as a placeholder for true detective season 1.
I love the sultry speaking, nihilist/ traditional southern dynamic, when conflicting ideals and hypocrisies from both sides arise. All whilst solving a murder in Louisiana that sends them down the deep end of the occult that resides within the state.
Rust Cohle is a phenomenal character where he speaks in quotes in any scene involving him. Matthew McConaughey played him insanely well, they're basically parallel to each other.
So entertaining to watch the investigation unravel, should probably rewatch again...

Something about this movie stuck to me. I think it was just how the movie went about recording the investigation process to when it first got to the spotlight team and the whole can of worms it opened afterwards. Mark Ruffalo's acting here is impeccable, that scene when he just vents his frustrations out on really nailing these priests down for their crimes.
I think this might have ignited a fleecing passion for investigative journalism lol.
