Perfect mix of the “male gaze” and treating the human body like it’s a car commercial. The demise of all our protagonists is simultaneously funny and sad.
We got so rowdy in our chairs during the new year eve scene that the people behind us got mad. Best coke commercial movie yet.

On my third viewing the back shots really stood out to me. Probably not the first person to notice this but Back shots of Sue are so triumphant and little bit silly whenever she poses in her gaudy dragon kimono. Back shots of Elisabeth are isolating and dehumanizing of her. Like when she’s alone on her birthday at the bar on her 4th martini or the titular bathroom floor sprawl that’s been used in a lot the promotional material of the film.
