I've seen this movie at least four times and it remains completely incomprehensible.

"Don't look back, you'll turn into a pillar of shit."

Ellen Burstyn is phenomenal and it's easy to see why she won the Oscar. The script is excellent and there was a lot more humor than I expected going in. It's a very well-done slice-of-life picture, and I really cared about Alice and what she was going through. My 2025-self didn't love some aspects of the ending, but looking at it through the 1974 lens makes it more tolerable. The…

Had such a great time! The message is heavy-handed and the shape of the film is easy to predict after a certain point, but the pacing is fantastic and watching events unfold is so satisfying. Sophie Thatcher is quickly becoming a favorite actress for me between Yellowjackets, Heretic, and this.

Marc Menchaca deserves an award for how much he made me laugh in his one scene. I could NOT get myself together.

I'm SO glad I didn't watch the trailer; the only marketing I saw at all was the poster. This is honestly the move.

Stunning in every way. Still thinking about certain scenes a day later. I watched Dune: Part One earlier to refresh my memory, and I was glad I did since Part Two picks up shortly after Part One ends.

The lighting and cinematography is some of the best I've ever seen.

Zendaya's performance is heartwrenching, particularly in her final two scenes, where she says nothing at all but communicates exactly what she's thinking.
