Barbie 2023
Exhilaratingly fun and playful. Loved the creativity of sets, costumes, transitions and of course the overall premise. Ryan Gosling steals the show and Margot Robbie is the perfect midlife crisis Barbie. Is it totally heavy handed and obvious? Yes. does it say the things that me and folks like me have felt in our bones since preadolescence and yet have never seen stated so blatantly on a big screen before? Yes. Thankful this exists. Can't wait to show it to my daughters some day.

Worst movie I’ve ever seen? Definitely a contender. Shockingly bad writing. And embarrassingly bad vfx. If you’re gonna have a vfx heavy film with a truly crap script, at least deliver on good looking vfx. Half star for gal gadot’s beauty and earnest performance, and the stunt women of this film. Even then, hard to give it any stars.

Carefree, zanny, and just plain fun. The pool choreography alone is worth the watch. If you don’t expect depth or plot, you’ll be pleasantly surprised with hilarious dance numbers, wild outfits, great set design, complex camera moves, and thick Aussie accents!
