The epitome of melancholic beauty. Which is effectively the same way I referred to Oasis, but I’m far more comfortable calling this beautiful.
Also I’ve been so pleased to see a child go to jail.

I’m torn on how to rate this. Went in pretty blind just on my enjoyment of Burning. Holy cow I was extremely uncomfortable countless times but in time there was some sort of desolate/sorrowful beauty. I’m hesitant to use beauty as a descriptor because of the particular sequence but that’s where I’ve landed.
Cinematography was amazing, sound design and writing left a lot to be desired. This is “honey we have Come and See at home” vibes. Guess I’ll read the book.
