  i went to the woods because i wanted to live deliberately. i wanted to live deep and suck out all the marrow of life. to put to rout all that was not life; and not, when i had come to die, discover that i had not lived. 

  i don’t think a film has ever touched me quite like this one. it haunts me in the best and most profound way.

  i’m giving this 1 star for aesthetics ONLY. the scenery, the soundtrack, the cinematography... all stunning. but the cast can go rot in the ninth circle of hell for all i care. if anyone can ruin pride and prejudice, it’s keira knightley and matthew mc-whats-his-face. because seriously, why on earth would anyone dream of changing some of jane austen’s most beautiful lines to the simple, plain, and basic “i love you. most ardently.” if a man tells me that instead…
