Manhunter 1986
Liked this more than Thief! Classic serial killer film but Mann does a fantastic job with his creation of a dark set contrasted by the 80s synth/soundtrack. Very well cast too.
When I finished, couldn’t help but think how much this would have crushed if it were a tv show in the 80s. Absolutely worth a go! Enjoy it and have fun with this one.

Nosferatu 2024
Objectively ranks last among Eggers’ films so far. The cinematography and Dafoe carry the film, otherwise I may have left halfway through. Count Orlok’s voice is incredibly cringe and overdone and the character as a whole may have well just been animated…Skaarsgård an unnecessary cast. Worth a go, but once the film pivots away from Orlok’s Castle I lost interest. Clearly some passion project for Eggers given he directed this as a play in HS, but this did not translate well to the big screen in my opinion. Looking forward to Rob’s bounce back film in the near future.
