The Movie Teller 2023
A quaint Latin American “Cinema Paradiso” family dramedy set in a poor mining town in 60’s -70’s Chile.
Unfortunately the script was all over the shop and tried to cover far too much ground from a family tragedy to the political upheaval of the elected socialist Allende government by the fascist Pinochet regime.
The films saving grace was the obvious homage to cinema and how this wonderful escapist experience formed such an important part of their normally dreary lives.Translated from by -
