I've never seen a film so simultaneously triggering AND capable of making me so glad that I am sober.

    Notes during watch:

Introducing Nic through the hospital call was cool and brilliant.

It does make me sad that it's vital to show the young versions of addicts to gain compassions from most audiences.

The beginning with him being in rehab made me feel a little rushed.

The anger when he was yelling at his son about being the one who's…

    Oh my GOD!

So many words, I'm already trying to figure out when I can watch this again.

I really miss speaking Chinese commonly in my life.

Probably one of my favorite movies ever I have too many words that I'm in paralysis and can't come up with any coherent sentences.

The message that being a woman is 'impossible' that was given in that godforsaken monologue is disgusting. Being a woman is as impossible as you make it.

So bad! An incoherent, awful butchering of a great story. Where tf did Jack Torrance's character arc go? What happened to Danny's brilliance? Why was he demoted to such a corny creepy-kid character? 250 pages of set up lost to the most uninteresting opening scenes I've ever sat through.

The three second still frame of Jack frozen to death made me cry laugh as I had to time think about how terrible this movie is.

    Stephen King's work squished into…
