The Killer Shrews 1959
Ridiculously boring, but there’s still something to it. The inspiration for Night of the Living Dead is clear, the atmosphere is claustrophobic and the excitement of seeing the shrew puppets kept me just engaged enough to last the hour. The ending is so funny, as are the shrews that are definitely not dogs, don’t look at them too closely! The acting and pacing are terrible, so I can’t rate it highly, but not an entire waste of an hour. What other movie will take the brave stance of endorsing boring, living women? Truly brave.
