Good but sometimes depressing movie. It is no Dead Poets Society. But yet an interesting study of the times. It did not make me happy to watch but i can not dismiss it as inferior.

A Real Pain 2024
There is something of a Jerzy Kosinski spirit harbored in this movie. A marzipan veneer of absurdity surrounding a lugubrious center of a somber subject. It reminded me a bit of the movie Life is Beautiful. A well done movie.

No One Will Save You 2023
Umm…Sometimes fusion foods—where you mash together two separate and distinct dining cultures to produce a delicious and unique dining experience—are amazing like french and Vietnamese cuisine, but other times they are a disaster of experimentation that only Mary Shelley might conceive. This movie is like the later—a bad mix. Ostensibly a mashup of the psycho thriller and extraterrestrial jump scare this movie does disservice to both genres. It’s like mixing airline food and carnival food together—resulting in visual acid reflux for the viewer. I wanted to like this movie but was left disappointed.
