i have conflicting thoughts: on one hand the film was beautiful, the shadow work was lovely (minus the one frame with the hand over the city), and you can see the evidence of murnau and german expressionism at work. additionally the story is interesting, and it’s nice to further the develop the characters and lore from the original.
i guess i find myself lost as to what the point of the film is? what’s the perspective? what am i supposed…
