Was really looking forward to this one but it just didn’t hit for me. The set design and visuals were good and definitely placed the movie in the Mad Max universe, but I found the overall plot and lack of charisma from ATJ too distracting for me to enjoy the movie much.

Action-packed with some beautiful cinematography and an effective soundtrack. Keeps you on the edge of your seat throughout, has a training montage, has a person who communicates through drumming. What more can you want honestly. 4/5 monke 🐒

Poor Things 2023
I feel like if I had known anything about this movie beforehand, I wouldn’t have wanted to watch it, but I’m glad I did. I feel like this is an artsy, conceptual movie done right. At the core is a fascinating, crazy, and striking story, surrounded by many layers of thematic imagery. Even if you don’t understand everything your first time through, there’s still plenty to grab your attention and enjoy on a first watching. I.e no Reddit plot explanation required for a great time. Highly recommended!

Dream Scenario 2023
Thought the themes were thought-provoking and fresh. Dark comedy moments and dream sequences made this a unique watch. Nick Cage’s performance is very human and relatable, which is a departure from some of his more bombastic performances. Some of the commentary around cancel culture was pretty clunky for me but overall I found it entertaining and compelling.
