Black Swan 2010
The best psychological thriller I have ever seen. You do not need to be a follower of ballet or have any knowledge of ballet to enjoy this film. Natalie Portman’s performance is sensational, the most deserving best actress/actor Oscar wins I’ve watched. A truly outstanding, very original, adaptation of the Swan Lake plot.

Companion 2025
Unlike the usual ‘AI is taking over’ storyline, I was actually rooting for the robot in this film! There is so many twists and turns that made it impossible to predict anything that would happen, which I love. I laughed, I gasped, I cheered. Just when I thought I could foresee Iris’ future, the whole plot imploded and proved me wrong. I would recommend this film to anyone.

Seems like a simple storyline at first but it has a very unique spin on it, with sensational takes & angles throughout and incredible performances from all actors. One of the most touching endings I’ve ever seen in a film. I am very excited to watch more films by Sean Baker.
