Disappointing. I wanted more of a story. Great imagery and two great leads. Loved Lithgow’s accent.

This is still a solid film.

I'm not a huge fan of Paul Thomas Anderson. I've only enjoyed two of his films - "There Will be Blood" and "The Master." Also got to give him kudos for trying to adapt a Pynchon novel. But "Phantom Thread" is his best yet. Absolutely stunning. The film is gorgeous and basks in that. Woodcock is a great character, fully realized by Day-Lewis and Anderson. Alma is just as fully drawn. The plot is slow to develop but that's perfect for the two characters and the story.

Loved this film. One of my favorites in 2017.
