  This was awesome.

  When we arbitrarily decided to watch this tonight, I had no idea I'd be laughing out loud.

  This movie oozes with style and hilarity. Quite possibly my favorite performance from Willem Dafoe, and that says A LOT.

  Stunningly beautiful movie. Amazing to see in 70mm IMAX.

  During the climax of the film, the video and audio went out of sync in the theater I was in, which wasn't super cool, but that's on the theater obviously.

  Javier Bardem was so good in this movie. He lowkey stole the show.

  Really cool story overall. Because a lot of time passes throughout the movie, I had some trouble believing the relationships that formed over time that we didn't see.…

  This was fine? good? I'm not sure...

  I feel bad because I hold Pixar to a much higher standard than other animation studios. This was a perfectly fine kids' movie, but it didn't have that extra layer of depth that most Pixar movies have.

  The allegory was pretty over the top in my opinion, with a very similar vibe to Zootopia (unsurprising given the subject matter). For kids, it's probably important for it to be over the top. However, personally…
