  Very pretty. It has its audience and its purpose but it’s not the type of film to hit you super hard unless you’re specifically IN those audiences. That being said, I felt like if it was more overt with its themes, then maybe I would’ve enjoyed it more. Regardless I really like queer films so it wasn’t a bad watch

  Visually, it was a stunning movie. The monochromatic scenes were truly incredible. But I find that this film was limited by the faithfulness they had to 1992 original. They did what they could with the little they had so im not too upset, but yeah I would recommend if you’re really into the Gothic aesthetic or really like the 1922 version for some reason lol.
