  Equal parts brilliant and frustrating. The score is so good, the editing is tremendous, the writing is... leaving something to be desired. I just wasn't engrossed enough in the movie to suspend my disbelief when asked, especially towards the end.

  One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest 1975

  It's ironic to see a film from 1975 where a female and three black men are the oppressors of a group of white guys. Typical.

  I say this tongue-in-cheek. I don't typically like to litter my reviews with "wokeness", but I couldn't help chuckle when I made this observation, as I'm sure so many have done before me.

  In reality though, I'm not sure I even agree with that sentiment. I definitely can't detect any malicious intent in the representations…

  The Batman 2022

  Apparently the world needed an emo Batman. I did not.

  Never have I felt as out of pulse with the modern generation as I have recently, when the superhero blockbusters that should be dying off are met with more and more enthusiasm, especially when they are more derivative than the last one.

  Robert Pattinson is barely given a chance to act. I guess Matt Reeves just tells him to look depressed and Pattinson obeys. Instead of a Batman of the…
