Loved how the Asian immigrant experience is a central theme of the movie yet does not dominate it's premise like many other films with Asian representation do. Another highlight was the reversal of Raymond as the bumbling fool of a husband to the archetypal hyper competent action hero in Alpha-Raymond to one of film's best examples of "soft" masculinity in the final act.
My favourite Nolan movie. I love how the three acts of the movie reflect the three acts of a magic trick as described by the movie. Final reveal immediately made perfect sense yet caught me by surprise. Every rewatch yields some new detail.
Beautiful animation! I loved the art style and how it departs from the traditional "realistic" CGI animation. Dialogue was fantastic and the characters have great chemistry with each other. Fun movie.
Thought the premise was a little silly and had trouble suspending my disbelief. I also thought the protagonist was deeply unlikable and kept needlessly putting people around him in danger for the first 3/4 of the movie. I suppose it was nice he had a character arc towards the end.
