How many times do we need to re-tread the same formula introduced in the original Alien film? Alien Romulus, clearly the most guilty of this, takes us on a nearly identical journey—but this time with a crew of forgettable "chavs" in space! Combined with lackluster dialogue and poor performances, the film makes it hard to care about anyone on screen. It's easy to tell this was originally meant for TV.

Offt that was surprisingly so much fun and far funnier than I expected.
The trailers really did not do this film justice at all. Chemistry between gosling and blunt is just off the charts.
The downside is for a film centred on the celebration of stunmen, environmental gci often ruinied some otherwise impressive practical stunts.
There's no doubt this trilogy gets worse as it goes on but I don't hate this. Sure there's awful cgi, some terrible dialogue and a recycled plot but Sam Neil is a delight. The raptors for the most part look pretty decent too. Alan! Alan!
