Recently watched this movie for the very first time and it did NOT disappoint. Uptown Girls beautifully delves into topics like grief, self-love, responsibility, friendship, and coming-of age in a refreshing and unique manner. Many films try to approach these topics with a gritty aittude, but Uptown Girls conveys these ideas with a warm one. AND I HAVE NOT EVEN MENTIONED THE OUTFITS!!! Brittany Murphy is adorned with the most gorgeous fits all while giving a fantastic performance. The chemistry between Dakota Fanning and Brittany Murphy along with the film's strong message about the importance of healing oneself makes this an absolute must watch!
