28 Weeks Later 2007
I didn’t watch this expecting it to be nearly as good as 28 days later but I had reason to believe it would still be good with the cast it had. I liked certain scenes but this film was all over the place. The cinematography felt kinda sloppy but managed to get away with it in fast action scenes cos the editing was pretty good. Deliverance 1972
Definitely a film that isn’t talked about enough. Very straight forward plot but the movie still delivers a great story. I loved the banjo playing scene that starts the film off. It was quite funny and really effectively introduced the strange southern wilderness setting the characters had arrived at. There’s a really disturbing scene which I can imagine at the time of release was really shocking to seek on screen compared to nowadays, which may be why it was so memorable at that time but not as well know now by people from my generation. Deliverance is a classic movie, which I’d certainly recommend.
