Alright, Jack Quaid. I guess I kinda like you now.
This movie was the perfect balance of super camp and super cringe! I haven't been able to get on the Jack Quaid train but he brought a nice Emmett (Lego Movie)-esque presence and humor to the film that I wasn't expecting. Jacob fulfilled his typecast role perfectly!
Side note: This is crazy because a year ago, I definitely would've thrown up or something but somehow, my gore tolerance has been building because of, funnily enough, The Boys.

Spider-Man 2002
THIS is a Spider-Man movie-- nay, this is THE Spider-Man movie.
Do I think it's objectively the best? No. But the cheesy dialogue, "hero's journey" type beat, and that iconic line makes it such a nostalgic watch. It's simple and I don't really love anyone's acting other than Willem Dafoe's but the simplicity is what makes it the base of the other Spider-people. Sam Raimi's visuals are also just *chef's kiss*, so nothing to complain about there.
Side note: those horns in the Spider-Man motif is like-- I need to hear it live this instant. Please.

I'm truly just awestruck. No wonder this anime has some of the best ratings...ever. The twist, fight scenes, score, voice acting, and ending were all nothing short of incredible. UGHHHH, it's so good. I should've watched this whole series earlier.
