Thoroughly enjoyable, aliens were intense, some fantastic shots, suspense was drawn out longer than was healthy for my heart 😂, great story about family reconciliation, but entirely too long.

Just because people have sat down to watch 2.5-hour-long movies doesn’t mean every movie has to be that long. There was a lot of fluff and the pacing was weird; it felt like there were two different movies.

I knew very little about RBG and gained a lot of respect for her after seeing this movie.

Del Toro really did his homework on noir films, and not just the aesthetic aspects. The foreshadowing is *chef’s kiss*. And OMG the ending. Really dark, not for the faint of heart, but well done.

I feel like this should be more famous than Beetlejuice. Perfect amount of campiness. And Meryl Streep 10/10
