really despise that the “gotcha!” plot-twist of this film is whether or not the protagonist is assaulted by creepy monkey man while unconscious. also, the cycle of violence theme in this film is both overstated and understated in weird ways and scenes.. it almost cancels out into a net neutral situation which was annoying to watch.
