I was expecting a fantastical Chinese period piece, and got a violent post apocalyptic action film.
This film would have been better suited as a story mode video game. The way the story was told it felt like I was the main character playing an RPG. For me, I saw it as a bunch of video game cut scenes put together to make a somewhat clear plot. The experience was more worthwhile than the story itself.
