Set in England in 1290, Birdy is the only daughter of Lord Rollo (Andrew Scott) and Lady Aislinn (Billie Piper). And as Birdy, Bella Ramsey effortlessly exhibits the vibrant spirit and stubborn defiance that only a youngest sibling can possess.

It’s hard to deny the excitement of seeing Harry Styles receive top billing in a major motion picture. But it’s shocking that some scenes with Styles’ inflection-less line delivery weren’t left on the cutting room floor. Though Styles’ performance is sometimes obtrusive (he’s most comfortable as a rambunctious and jovial Tom), his co-stars play their parts convincingly.
