  I have to give points for the presentation and pacing but what a horribly written story.

  Shockingly lacking in an anchor despite the angles of fame, crime, religion and trauma here that the film plays with but not in any light to make Maxine's tale so compelling.   My GOD! It's criminal that such a terribly written thing could be just competent enough in creating intrigue that it's lack of story could be disguised until the halfway point. Great cinematography, strong mood, engaging edit but for what? So hollow and silly.
