An extremely strong first two acts, tight directing, and some intelligent social commentary (by portraying both men and women's worst nightmares) helps propel this twisty thriller through a somewhat lacklustre ending that feels like it needed 5 more minutes and one more twist to feel complete.

It's strange how the film accelerates at near breakneck pace for the first hour and a half before slowing to a painful crawl in the last hour. This movie falls into the trap that many other musical biopics do and attempts to summarize the entire life of the artist, rather than attempt to tell a story with a distinct through line and plot throughout.
