The Batman 2022
Succeeds in its aims but is goofy and boring and I cannot take the Nirvana track any more seriously than the end of Transformers (2007) which would not be a problem but this film feels like it wants to be taken more seriously than that one which makes it a problem... i.e. it insists upon itself, yet remains unserious which displeases me.

Hamlet (1600) for the vengeful sons of slain fathers who ruled over an island of the Hebrides. Normally I don't rate based off historical authenticity in historical fiction, as long as it is clear which details are supposed to be fiction, and which are supposed to be authentic. In this case, I think a 10th century icelandic "king" (chieftain of the althing) would legitimately love this film, so it gets a 5 because it succeeds in its aims.
