A beautiful coming of age film that is inherently tragic and devastating in its outcome. It’s downfall lies in the odd B-stories that never truly see a conclusion or a reason for their exploration, however the narrative at the heart of the film is incredible and stunningly presented.

Moonrise Kingdom 2012
While nothing special, ‘Moonrise Kingdom’ is just another Wes Anderson film. A director known for his incredible style and beautiful set design the film is certainly worth a watch. Anderson’s film reflects a cute narrative focusing on themes of childhood innocence and growing up all displayed in a stylistic cinematic world in which every scene is carefully crafted through colour and framing in typical Wes Anderson fashion. Despite this, the film holds nothing of huge value beyond just that: a cute stylistic Wes Anderson film.
