"I carried a watermelon" 👍
Love the movie very much, its always such a comfort watch for me.
Apart from showcasing great dancing, which is a joy to watch, and the amazing soundtrack, the issue of abortions not being safetly avalable to women at the time (early 60s, pre Roe v. Wade) is being tackled and could not be more relevant in our current times. I like the way the issue is brought up as it feels very natural in the story. It becomes a reason for the main character to having to grow up fast and step out of her comfort zone.
Loved it, almost made me cry. Love that the ending is not all happy happy, but still in its own way a happy ending.
It is the best worst movie, I have ever watched and I will forever love and cherish it as my ultimate comfort watch. The amount of non-existant chemistry between Ana and Christian in their first scene together is so ridiculously funny, I cannot get over it. Him appearing in the hardware store, almost like a VAMPIRE? I mean, it is perfection. Christian being so controlling and creepy, her mother despite of this leaving her alone with him, when he comes…
Another Twilight+Vampire Diaries, this time with angels and devils instead of vampires and werewolfs 👍 It's not a crazy original story, but I actually enjoyed the movie. Only the "angel" CGI made it difficult to get through and the end felt like something was missing.
The third star is for Penn <3
