  I was expecting a dumb action comedy following a team of cops, but it was actually much more serious than I thought it'd be. But though the first act is very fun and keeps things moving, the film comes to an unexpected full stop in its second act, picking up the pace near the end for a third act that's light on logic.

  Blend of sci-fi, kung-fu, period film, action, adventure and comedy, « Alienoid » (which is only made a complete story with its sequel) is a highly HIGHLY ambitious film from acclaimed director Choi Dong-hoon. It’s cramming so much in under 3 hours that you very often playing catch up with the story; BUT it’s also a very generous movie that never takes itself too seriously with its creatures from another world trapped in humane bodies, hunted by a robot protector…
