Omg they did Finn so dirty, he was on track for a great character arc and had to potential to represent a lost face in a war and potentially turn other storm troopers against the new order but he just became a background character while the main characters still feel like empty husks in a meaningless story

Oh god where do I start. Biopics are already a shaky subject, and with the complexities of real people, trying to convey that in a way that doesn't feel tonally confusing is impossible. By taking a mildly interesting story and making it more romanticized you end up with a weird, uninteresting, infuriating piece of hot garbage.
