this movie means so much to me oh my gosh peak autism
The symbolism of blood in this movie is so freaking great like how the mother starts almost has a miscarriage, then carfie gets a period and gets shamed, foreshadowing the prom scene. Which ALSO foreshadows the mother's death, how she gets hung up like jesus on the cross, which is ALSO imagery seen throughout the movie. ESPECIALLY in the under the stairs closet which is where the mother grounded Carrie, shaming her for being "sinful".
