  why does everyone act like this movie is the greatest thing since sliced bread? 

  i mean, sure, the acting is decent and the whole "carpe diem" message is kinda cool, but let's face it, it's just another typical coming-of-age movie that tries way too hard to be profound and emotional
  it's like a cheesy inspirational quote that's been plastered on a million motivational memes on instagram

  
  it's just so overrated and tbh it's not as deep and meaningful as people make it out to be

  1/2 star is far more generous than this movie deserves

  you guys CANT be serious, literally what the fuck????? whats the hype for????? OH MY GOD.

  this is a giant cringe fest but like the music and the choreography were technically impressive, but the story? it's like they took every cliché from every musical ever made and just threw them all together
  and let's not even talk about the characters
  they're like cardboard cutouts that just want to sing and dance around
  plus, the ending? it's like they just gave up and went "let's make it sad for no reason at all"
