It'll be easy for film critics and musical purists to look down at this for not looking or sounding a certain way—maybe the ultimate irony given that's the core theme here.

Really hope someone can cut all this into Fire Walk With Me someday and make a supermovie out of it, because the added context around Laura's story somehow makes it even more devastating. Some really amazing scenes that were sadly deleted, including a lot of the quirky, charming side characters that helped make the show that much weirder.

The general premise is pretty solid and it touches on some important themes, but that's about it. Though I will say it kept me intrigued even if I couldn't take it seriously. And yeah, cool that we kind of experience the world as she does. I liked that idea a lot.
But man, the laughable, unrealistic dialogue and a lot of stiff acting and delivery just killed this for me. Not to mention the off-putting camera angles and film editing. Not a fan.
And Clayton's motive was suuuuuch a reach.
My favorite part was when half-pound Sebastian fell like ten feet and obliterated that gigantic cake.
