Loved this when it first came out. I think I just loved the Ethan Hawke philosophical pretentious 20 something. But now that I’m not a 20 something it just didn’t connect quite as well with me. Definitely enjoyed some of their escapades but it felt more nostalgic than interesting. Still love the ending and the banter between them. And I’m looking forward to the rest of the trilogy that I haven’t actually seen.

This movie is everything I hate about movies and is why I generally don’t watch critically acclaimed Oscar contenders, and why I might resume that practice.
What I liked:
