Haven't really seen anything like this and would be hard to really explain without just watching it. It feels quite mysterious throughout but at the same time really mesmerising. A lot of really simple sequences that are exceedingly beautiful and moving - the Sumo scene on the beach was amazing.
A really pleasing film to watch, with a beautiful colour pallet.
While the film had some really good original footage and was at times engaging, I felt that it lacked the narrative a documentary of this sort requires. Telling the story of a legendary Bob Dylan tour requires more than good footage, it should take you along on the journey to make you understand its significance. I say this however as someone unfamiliar with any Bob Dylan, so maybe with more understanding of his life and music it would flow better. Either way still interesting to watch a Scorsese documentary and see footage from the time.
Jumps straight into the action following Swords of Vengeance and they continued the plot perfectly, exactly as it should have. Cinematography was lovely and certain shots were really well composed (Ogami sitting with Daigoro by the fire). Fight sequences even better than before. Nice mix of locations as well, with forests, rivers, and desert. Daigoro is also a really good child actor. Loved it.
