A film that holds its own. Of all the critics, none mention the fact that this film is an adaptation of the novel "Cosmetic of the Enemy" by Amélie Nothomb. Having read the book no less than 4 times, I can assure you that all the visual metaphors are bland, the character of Texel Textor is too, everything seems bland and tasteless next to Amélie's big book. Read the book, or settle for an "okay" movie, but know that this story has not been exploited to its maximum on this film production.
