With great performances from both Kieran Culkin and Jesse Eisenberg, A Real Pain is a meditation on suffering at the individual and community level.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
Really enjoyed Ralph Fiennes' performance and a peek behind the conclave curtain, but the end wrapped up a little too cleanly despite the movie acting as though it did not.
Actually saw the orthochromatic version. This movie opened like a satire and had a pretty stark tonal change about a third of the way through. I enjoyed it a lot, but preferred Godzilla Minus One.
Strictly fine. The big bad was the most enjoyable part of the movie. The human character was pretty annoying, and it irked me that clearly they are setting this up as a new trilogy.
