Not a lot to say here. It was good, very good. The ending might have gone on a little long, but I'm nitpicking. Considering I've started to study Korean and after a number of misfires, finally I actually really liked a universally lauded Korean film. Good stuff. 좋아요.

Paranormal Activity 4 2012
Going back through this series, this was a very solid entry (and my current favorite pending finishing/rewatching the rest). They cut out all of the obnoxious dialogue of the previous films and just got right to the scares. The use of the Kinect was really clever here too. It was appropriately suspenseful and scary. No complaints.

Somehow a regression from All Hallows' Eve. Art the Clown is an amazingly effective villain, being both a brutal "slasher" and otherwise completely unsettling before the other characters release he's bad. This should be a relatively easy concept to coast on, but they fumble so much here. How do you make an 85 minute movie feel like it went on 40 minutes too long? Christopher Nolan is my favorite director, but I had only seen this once in theaters back when it was released. I enjoyed it, but had little flippin clue what was going on at all. It was Inception time on my Nolan filmography watch/rewatch, and I didn't really know exactly what to expect. Would I understand it more? Would I still be confused? Would it underwhelm me this time? Who knew.
