Poor Things 2023
I don’t even know how to talk about this movie. I kind of loved everything about it.
The sets and costumes were beyond anything I could’ve even imagined (though there was no doubt in my mind that Lathimos’ artistic vision would blow me away as it always does). I thought Emma Stone’s performance was brilliant, physically, emotionally, vocally. I even loved Mark Ruffalo’s inconsistent accent (I’m choosing to believe that it’s part of the character’s pseudo-intellectual sense of self-importance).
