    Got home from work, watched March madness and then margin call - does it get any better?

    Not sure what compelled me to rewatch this, but fuck it’s so good. I love the first hour of this movie from the juniors perspective -  always a bigger fish… 

    Hard to look away from the screen. Great performances, contemplative and unsettling. 

    Haven’t given a 5/5 in a while but this deserves it.

    This movie was only 90 minutes but I could have easily watched 3 hours of this.

    Jesse Eisenberg’s screenplay is so fucking good. Centred around this relationship between estranged cousins, the setting of a Holocaust tour in Poland not only sets the stage for the pain and the guilt that these guys feel, but is portrayed to perfection. The locations speak for themselves, and the movie lets you feel the gravity of the setting along with the cousins. It shows…

    Started this at like 2pm before the Oscar’s and I just barely finished before it started…

    If you’re gonna have a runtime this long you’ve gotta make sure you don’t stray from the story you’re trying to tell. Maybe I just missed the meaning of some of the sequences and will need to rewatch, but it felt disjointed. I wish this was an hour shorter and Conclave had an extra hour. 

    Brody was great, but if they altered his performance…
