Beetlejuice Beetlejuice 2024
captures much of the original beetlejuice charm, but a lot of the writing comes off as gen xers trying to appeal to younger audiences and failing at it. impressively follows a very similar pace to the original which i appreciated; it only picked up massively in the third act and the visuals were just as fun as i had hoped. didnt really get the beetlejuice's ex wife subplot, but i know it only acted as a force to initiate lydia…

writing was not loyal at all to the characters, writing was just kinda bad in general, understanding the film feels like it relies too heavily on prior knowledge of the games. entertaining still. colorist killed it though good job.
