  The first time I watched this movie was in Hong Kong. I had jet lag and couldn’t sleep, so I decided to watch Chungking Express. After watching the movie, I left the hotel and wandered through the empty city, listening to California dreaming and visiting 24/7 grocery shops

  I'm in awe of how Wong Kar-wai can capture this trashy, dirty, poor, chaotic, yet beautiful city with so much love

  I'm usually cautious with movies where directors build their own universe, as after an hour, it might become tiresome or feel overused. Luckily, every golden rule has its exception. With this one, I just wanted to dive deeper into this mesmerising and captivating world (or I just wished for more scenes of Emma Stone in those yellow shorts, casually strolling through snowy paris)
